Joshua James Templeton

Joshua James Templeton, 28, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Camden Clark Medical Center, in Parkersburg, WV. He was born July 27, 1992, in Westerville, OH, a son of Timothy L. Templeton and Shelia L. (Cogar) Templeton. Josh was a graduate of Amanda-Clearcreek High School, Class of 2010.He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a foreman for American Boring. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Stephen R. Templeton; and maternal grandfather, James C. Cogar. Josh is survived by his parents, Tim and Shelia Templeton of Gallipolis Ferry; brothers, Stephen (Hannah) Templeton of Circleville, OH, T.J. (Erica) Templeton of Circleville and Michael Burris of Gallipolis Ferry; and a sister, Tiffany (Mike) Oberley of Circleville.He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Karen Cogar of Gallipolis Ferry; paternal grandmother, Sharon K. Templeton of Gallipolis Ferry; nieces and nephews, Jackson Templeton, Taylor Hammond, Landon Templeton, Timmy Templeton, Sammy Templeton, Noah Oberley and Leah Oberley. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Minister Roger McCallister officiating.Burial will follow at the Templeton Family Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
