Joseph Lawton"Smoking Joe" Ingerick, 80, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. He was born March 4, 1941, in Charleston, WV,a son of the late Joseph Arlos Ingerick and Dorothy Virginia (Mynes) Ingerick. Joe was a clarinetist who played with the Cincinnati Symphony and a member of the Point Pleasant Writers Guild. He served his country in the United States Army and was a former music teacher with Mason County Schools. He is survived by an uncle, Clyde S. Mynes of Nitro, WV; and cousins, James A. (Relyn) Mynes of Buffalo, WV, Louis N. (Sandra) Mynes of Buffalo and Lucy (Robert) Young of Nitro. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, February 11, 2022, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor David Washington officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington, WV.
