John Junior Smith

John Junior Smith, 90, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at home. He was born February 24, 1925, in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, a son of the late Harry Smith and Nellie (Ord) Smith. John was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church and had co-owned Smith Plumbing and Heating in Point Pleasant. He loved to play his guitar and attend fiddling contests with the late Everett Wedge. John was a great dad, loving husband and grandpa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee (Wears) Smith; one daughter, Dreama LaDonna Smith; a son, John Ricky Smith; and four sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lee Smith of Point Pleasant and granddaughter, Angela (Sam) Moats of Winchester, VA. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chip Bennett officiating.
