John A. Hussell

John A. "Doc" Hussell, 91, of Point Pleasant died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his home. "Doc" was a member of the Berean Baptist Church of Point Pleasant, a former employee of the WV Malleable Iron Co., a member of Boilermakers Union 667, and a farmer. He was born December 1, 1916 in Point Pleasant to the late John Ralph Hussell and Mary Nancy (Morris) Hussell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Allen Hussell and William Hussell; two brothers, Okey Richard "Dick" Hussell and Ralph H. Hussell; and two sisters, Nancy M. Hussell and Clara G. Schultz. Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. (Richmond) Hussell whom he married March 14, 1987; a son whom he was proud of, John Jacob Hussell of Point Pleasant; a daughter that was his pride and joy, Julie Ann Hussell of Point Pleasant; two sisters and brother-in-law, Iva F. (Marshall) Slayton of Point Pleasant; and Olive F. Cottrill of Point Pleasant; a brother, Leonard T. "Jack" Hussell of Point Pleasant; a sister-in-law, Mary Hussell of Point Pleasant; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Wilmer "Bud" Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery at Letart, WV. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
