John Lee Burke

John Lee Burke, 56, of Point Pleasant, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born March 12, 1964, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Clarence Jennings Burke and Alma Jane (Simpson) Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mike Burke and Billy Burke; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Parsons. John was a former employee at the Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, WV. He is survived by his children, John David Burke of Cross Lanes, WV, Mary Jane (Carl) Parsons of Charleston, WV, Stephan Nicholas (Andrea) Wright of Alum Creek, WV and Stephanie Nicole Roberts of Hometown, WV; and 13 grandchildren.He is also survived by sisters, Arietta Christine Bailes of Gallipolis Ferry and Cathy Snow of Buffalo, WV; a brother, Vernon Burke of Buffalo; three half brothers, Scott, Jay and Jerry Burke; and stepfather, John Payne of Point Pleasant. There will be no public services.Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
