John Leslie Bennett

John Leslie Bennett, 66, of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at home. He was born October 8, 1945 in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Rev. Frank Richard "Keno" Bennett Jr. and Myrtle Latisha (Simpkins) Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Ray Bennett; and one sister, Barbara Jean Bolton. John was a retired car salesman having worked for various dealerships within the tri-county area, he had served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge and American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann (Donovan) Little of Point Pleasant; one stepson, Brent (Tomma) Shuler of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Shuler of Racine, OH, Madison Shuler and Jacob Shuler both of Point Pleasant; one sister, Lois Shinn of Leon; mother-in-law, Betty Donovan of Syracuse, OH; and a host of close friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with closing prayer by Pastor Carl "Boxer" Swisher.
