Jessie Ann Rulen

Jessie Ann (Siders) Rulen, 88, of Hurricane, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at CAMC-Teays Valley, following a short illness, surrounded by family. She was born April 22, 1930, in Henderson, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Jennie (Willet) Siders. Jessie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and Christian. She was a true blessing to all she touched; an example of God's love for her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hurricane and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1949.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Jennie Stewart, Nannie Nibert, Millie Bonecutter, Anna Siders, Hazel Siders and Ruby Huddleston; and three brothers, Robert H. Siders Jr., Worthy Siders Sr., and Eli H. "Mousie" Siders.She is survived by her husband and best friend of 69 years, Harold Rulen of Hurricane; children, Robert (Cristi) Rulen of Point Pleasant, Donna (Bruce) Belfield of Greenville, SC, Kay (Jerry) Tucker of Hurricane and Linda (Chris) Cargill of Hurricane; a sister, Emma McCarty of Point Pleasant; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Jerry Losh officiating. Burial will follow at Beale Cemetery in Apple Grove.
