Jessica Dawn Spencer

Jessica Dawn (McCarty) Spencer, 40, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Lexington, KY.

She was born January 25, 1984, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Gary Richard "Richie" McCarty and Kelly Dawn (Jordan) McCarty.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Jordan; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Geneva McCarty; and cousins, John Adam McCarty and Tonda McCarty Nelson.

Jessica was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 2002 and a graduate of Bridge Valley Community and Technical College Class of 2018. She was a Registered Nurse employed by River Park Hospital in Huntington, WV. Jessica enjoyed traveling and shopping with her daughter Kynley.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dale Spencer of Apple Grove; a loving and beautiful daughter, Kynley Elizabeth Fisher of Apple Grove; parents, Gary Richard "Richie" and Kelly Dawn McCarty; a brother, Jordan (Ashley) McCarty of Point Pleasant; special nephew, Asher McCarty of Point Pleasant; and multiple uncles, aunts and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Wayne Richardson officiating.  Burial will follow at Barton Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
