Jeffrey L. Hatfield

Jeffrey L. Hatfield, 68, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at home. He was born February 7, 1954, in Gallipolis Ferry, a son of the late William Irvin Hatfield and Virginia Irene (Rainey) Hatfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hatfield. Jeff was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1971 and retired from AKZO Nobel in Gallipolis Ferry.He enjoyed hunting, especially in Colorado. He is survived by the mother of his son, Sharon E. Long of Point Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law, Seth Edward and Bethany Hatfield of Georgetown, KY; and two grandchildren, Jackson Pierce Hatfield and Lorelei Grace Hatfield of Georgetown.He is also survived by sisters, Nikki Hatfield of Gallipolis Ferry and Anita (Matt) Evans of Gallipolis, OH; brothers, Rex (Becky) Hatfield of Gallipolis Ferry, John Hatfield of Gallipolis Ferry and Joe Hatfield of Gallipolis Ferry; a sister-in-law, Kay Hatfield of Gallipolis Ferry; and multiple nieces and nephews. A private graveside service and burial was held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Ronnie Cremeans officiating.Arrangements were under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
