Jean (Ball) Templeton, 70, of Eleanor, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston. She was born August 30, 1941, in Ashton, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Edgar Ball and Ollie Opal (Barnett) Ball. Jean was a homemaker, and member of the Winfield Church of Christ in Winfield, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Templeton; and two sisters, Glenna Faye Dalton and Shirley Finley. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and John Halstead of Charleston, WV and Amy and Benjamin Mellert of Apple Grove, WV; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kelli Templeton of Glenwood, WV and Terry and Brandi Templeton of Apple Grove, WV; and nine grandchildren, Emily Allison (Brett) Allen of Glenwood, Mallory Grace Templeton of Glenwood, John Wesley Halstead of Charleston, Thomas Quinton Halstead of Charleston, Hugh Keaton Halstead of Charleston, Kelsey Renee Templeton of Apple Grove, Lindsey Nicole Templeton of Apple Grove, Aaron Michael Mellert of Apple Grove, and Autumn Jewel Mellert of Apple Grove. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Preacher Jeremy Young officiating.
