Jasper Ervin "Jack" Austin

Jasper Ervin "Jack" Austin, 72, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at home. He was born November 21, 1947, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Arch R. Austin and Sylvia (Nibert) Austin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda M. Reynolds. Jack served his country in the United States Army and retired from McGinnis, Inc., as a river captain. He is survived by the love of his life of 52 years, Clinedda Kay (Erwin) Austin whom he married November 20, 1967; daughters, Angela (John) Kinnaird of Point Pleasant and Valeria (David) Lucas of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Derrick Henson, Christopher Henson, David Lucas II, Emily Kinnaird, Kyle Kinnaird, Cierra Smith and Trevor Smith; six great-grandchildren, Treyton Black, Alexis Lucas, Dreylon Lucas, Oaklynn Norris, Octavia Smith and on the way Vivian Sophia Goody; a sister, Frona M. Call of Gallipolis Ferry; and a special cousin, Ronnie Roush. Per his request, there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
