Jason Robert Swain

Jason Robert Swain, 46, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, February 21, 2020, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. He was born August 9, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, a son of the late Bobby "Bob" Joe Swain and Wanda Lee (Hazelwood) Swain of Point Pleasant. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Grover Hazelwood and Sis (Chapman) Hazelwood; uncles, Gary Chapman and Mike Hazelwood; and two aunts, Christine Brown and Darlene Fisher. Jason was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1991, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He served in the United States Air Force, worked as an electrician for R. & B. Electric and attended New Hope Bible Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Alex (Dominique) Swain of Winter Park, FL, Shala Swain of Point Pleasant and Alexis Swain of Point Pleasant; aunt, Patty (Jeff) Wittman of Point Pleasant; and cousins, B.J. Higginbotham, Sherri Williams, Missy Fisher, Brandy Hill, Jill Flory, Jennifer Gaines and Cora Beth Chapman. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
