Janet Elizabeth Holland

Janet Elizabeth Holland, 88, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant.

She was born December 1, 1934, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Lloyd G. Forbus and Freda M. (Jacobs) Forbus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Forbus; and sisters, Betty J. Mitchell Morrow and Ruth Thomas.

Janet was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant, where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1952, a former member of the Pleasant Valley Hospital Auxiliary and she was a retired medical receptionist from the Gallipolis Medical Plaza with 15 years service.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Russell V. Holland of Point Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and J.D. Sallaz of Point Pleasant and Dina and Thomas Reynolds of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Nathan (Beth) Reynolds, Ashley (Joe) Finnicum, Jill (Nathan) Fowler and Tommy (Linsey) Reynolds; and great-grandchildren, Carson and Kylinn Finnicum, Callee Fowler and Jaxx and Kinley Reynolds.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ronnie Tote and Pastor Nathan Fowler officiating.  Burial will follow at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
