James Orval Robinson

James Orval Robinson, 87, of Point Pleasant, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant.

Orval was born November 16, 1936, in Strange Creek, WV, a son of the late Ray G. Robinson and Beulah F. (Boggs) Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena M. Robinson.

Orval was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood with 37 years' service.

Orval loved gardening, flowers and working outdoors.  He received Yard of the Month honors on several occasions and had many close friends he considered family.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kim Robinson of Heath, OH; a grandson, Brian Robinson and wife Shannon of Peachtree City, GA; and one great-grandchild, Vera Robinson,

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ronnie Tote officiating.  Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 615 Viand Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
