James R. "Bobby" Garrett

James Robert "Bobby" Garrett, 64, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, in Point Pleasant. He was born April 8, 1952, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Billie Winifred Garrett. Bobby was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1971, a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Sons of the American Legion, and the Harley's Owners Group. He was retired/disabled from Kanawha River Towing. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Edna B. Patterson. Bobby is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol Y. (Patterson) Garrett of Point Pleasant; his beloved Garrett cats; a brother-in-law, Dennis E. (Maureen) Patterson of Wichita Falls, TX; three aunts, Alice Gleason, Dottie Burgess, and Mary Wood; and several special family members. A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Minister Eugene Zopp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
