James N. "Jim" Grueser Sr.

James N. "Jim" Grueser Sr., 59, of Letart, died Saturday, September 19, 2015. He was born June 16, 1956, in Mason, WV, a son of the late Nicholas Nye Grueser and Marjorie Bernice (Carpenter) Grueser. Jim was a retired maintenance manager at Lakin Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Randy Wayne Colegrove; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn (Berkley) Grueser of Letart; two daughters, Amanda Nicole Grueser (Todd Ryan Saunders) of Point Pleasant and Angela Lathey (Murph) of Gallipolis, OH; two sons, James Noel Grueser Jr. (Kimberly Perkins) of Radcliff, OH and Heath Aaron Grueser of Nelsonville, OH; and four grandchildren, Emily Grueser, Shelby Waugh, Nicholas Grueser and Cooper Saunders. Also surviving are one sister, Joan (Tom) Wolfe of Racine, OH; three brothers, Gary Rife of Ohio, Junior Rife of Ohio and Barry (Toni) Grueser of Rutland, OH; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Grueser of Ohio. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jim Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home.
