Rev. James B. Kittle, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Abbyshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bidwell, OH. He was born June 5, 1933, in Sandyville, WV, a son of the late Troy Kittle and Olive (Showalter) Kittle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Charlotte, Virginia, Maxine, Marie and Catherine; and four brothers, Lloyd, Russell, Bill and Rollin. James was a graduate of Gilmore High School Class of 1951 and started his working career as an insurance agent with the Commonwealth Insurance Company.Rev. Kittle had pastored multiple Nazarene Churches in the tri-state area and finished his last charge at the Man Church of the Nazarene in Man, WV.He currently was attending the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Nada L. (McCauley) Kittle of Point Pleasant; sons, Jeffrey J. Kittle and wife Cinda of Bidwell, OH and Linden "Bud" Kittle and fiancée Giovanna of Athens, OH; grandchildren, Christin (Whit) Parrish of Cottageville, WV and Tricia (Jason) Whittington of Point Pleasant; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Natalie, Andrew and Wyatt. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Doug Hendrixson officiating.Burial will follow at the Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, WV.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.
