James Larry Hall

James Larry Hall, 77, of Point Pleasant, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at home. He was born December 2, 1944, in Mason, WV, a son of the late William "Bill" Hall and Mary (Plumley) Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher James Hall; and brothers, Donald Hall and Bruce Hall. Larry was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1962.He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, was a member of American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant and retired from CSX. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. (Erwin) Hall of Point Pleasant; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry D. "Danny" and Manuela Hall of Gallipolis Ferry and Brian and Melinda Hall of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Jordan (Heather) Hall of Apple Grove, Brandon Hall of Morgantown, Abby (Nelson) Lam of Reston, VA, Emma Hall of Point Pleasant and Gabriel Hall of Point Pleasant; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Arabella Hall; and a sister, Susan Crump of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home, with Jordan Hall officiating.Burial will follow at the New Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant.Military graveside honors will be given by the Air Force Honor Guard and Gallia County Honor Guard Post 4464 VFW.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home.
