James Edward Elliott

James Edward Elliott, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born July 11, 1935, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Amadee G. Elliott and Era Eleanor (Luckeydoo) Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Terry, Janice Young and Jean Ann Durst; and brothers, John M. "Mickey" Elliott, Charles R. Elliott and William A. Elliott. Jim was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School.He served his country in the United States Army and retired as a security guard from the Naval Yard in Point Pleasant. He is survived by a brother, Richard Elliott of Gallipolis, OH; niece, Vickey L. Clendenen of Point Pleasant; nephews, Jabruse E. (Amanda Sue) Terry III of Point Pleasant and Ronnie (Michelle) Durst of Ripley; and great-nieces, Hayle Clendenen and Tessa Trimble. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. A graveside service and burial will follow at Graham Cemetery in New Haven, WV, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating.
