James Edward Rainey

James Edward "Jim Ed" Rainey, 52, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024.

He was born July 7, 1971, in Gallipolis, OH, a son of the late Ronnie David Rainey and Tana Kristine (Long) Rainey.

James was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1989 and a boilermaker with Local 667 of Winfield.  He enjoyed watching football, Nascar and liked to draw and build.  His world was his daughter Maigen.

He is survived by his daughter, Maigen Kristine Rainey of Columbus, OH; sister, Wendy Rainey and Wesley Jones of Gallipolis Ferry; brother, David Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry; and stepmother, Juanita Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry.

At James' request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
