James William Clark

December 29, 1929 — November 30, 2007

James William Clark, 77, of Point Pleasant went home to be with Jesus Friday, November 30, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. James was a member of the Henderson Tabernacle, the American Veterans, had served in the U.S. Army, and had worked as store manager for Big Bear Company with over 20 years service. He was born December 29, 1929 in Winfield, WV to the late George Lemuel Clark and Clara (Martin) Clark. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Rozella Pavilkey; a son-in-law, Charles (Dick) Hall; a sister, Marguerite Dulaney; and brother, Lawrence Clark. Surviving are his wife, Beulah M. (Hughes) Clark of Point Pleasant; daughters, V. Lynn Hall of Point Pleasant; and Pamela Ruth (George) Marcinko of Pickerington, Ohio; four grandchildren, James W. (Leslie) Walworth of Point Pleasant; John Brian Marcinko; Anna Marie Marcinko of Pickerington, Ohio; and Sarah L. Hall of Point Pleasant; two great grandchildren, Kaylen Walworth and Noel Faith Walworth; and his cats, Cheeze, Snowball, and Tippie. The family would like to thank their many friends who helped during James illness, and special thanks to the Staff of Pleasant Valley Hospital and Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dr. Harold Ayers, Dr. Agnes Simon, Jeff Boles and Pastor Carl Swisher. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Deacon William Mayes and Deacon Handley Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Hill Cemetery at Southside, WV where military graveside rites will be given by American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.
