Jake Junior "Ben" Burns

Jake Junior "Ben" Burns, 81, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, after several long illnesses and hospital stays. He was born August 28, 1941, to the late Jake M. Burns and Violet (Rickard) Burns. Ben was a member of the Christian Life Fellowship in Gahanna, OH.He served his country in the United State Army and was a former employee of I.T.W. Nifco Manufacturing. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda D. Burns of Chillicothe, OH; son, Daniel J. Burns of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Anissa J. Burns of Newark, OH; stepson, Steven C. Lanthorn of Circleville, OH; grandchildren, Savannah and Mishelle; step-grandchildren, Evan and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Legacy, Lyrical and Christian.He is also survived by brothers, Mike (Jackie) Burns of West Columbia, WV and Marvin (Brenda) Burns of Logan, OH; sisters, Ellie Mae Hoschar; and Marilyn (Larry) Bugg of Gallipolis Ferry; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In honoring Ben's wishes there will be no public services.Burial will be in the Rickard Family Cemetery in West Columbia.
