Jacqueline D. Lilly Turney, 80, of Point Pleasant died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at home. She was a member of the First Church of God in Point Pleasant, a homemaker, and former cook for Amherst Industry. Jackie was born July 27, 1926 in Point Pleasant to the late John Henry McDermitt and Trenna (Casey) McDermitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Lilly, Sr., and Robert E. Turney; daughters, Delores Taylor and Carolyn Lilly; a sister, Lina Watson; and brothers, John Lewis McDermitt, Aaron McDermitt, Charles "Pete" McDermitt, and Paul Nelson McDermitt. Surviving are her children, James "Bo" (Doris) Lilly, Jr. of Gallipolis Ferry; Charles Lilly of Point Pleasant; Garry (Ernestine) Lilly of Point Pleasant; Johnny (Debbie) Lilly of Point Pleasant; Linda (Lyle) Moore of Point Pleasant; a sister, Carol Lucas of Scott Depot, WV, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
