Isaiah Crump Jr., 81, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 21, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born March 25, 1939, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Isaiah Crump Sr. and Bessie Mae (Pearson) Crump. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Sue (Spence) Crump; sisters, Ruth A. Hand, Margaret O. Crump and Frances L. Hosmer; and brothers, David J. Crump, James A. Crump, Charles Timothy Crump, Robert V. Crump, Howard Franklin Crump and Charles T. Crump; Isaiah was a member and former pastor of Hambrick Church at Southside and attended the Christian Community Church in Point Pleasant. He was retired from the Mason County Schools System. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Marie (Michael) Baker of Point Pleasant and Regina Yvonne (Charles) VanMeter of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren, Lesleigh Michelle Baker, Joshua Melvin (Leah) Mullins, Rachel Alayna VanMeter, Tyler Joseph VanMeter and Jarrod Malcolm VanMeter; and three great-grandchildren, Everleigh Quinn Brose, Cyrus Isaiah Mullins and Raven Serena VanMeter. He is also survived by eight sisters, Martha Crump of Point Pleasant, Rebecca Kennedy of Gallipolis, OH, Dollie Watson of Jacksonville, FL, Deborah G. Parthemer of Venice, FL, Annabel Fritts of Arizona, Regina Joan Cox of Waverly, OH, Mary V. Saunders of Gallipolis and Norma Smith of Athens, OH; one brother, Randall A. Crump of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. In honoring Isaiah's wishes, there will be no public services and burial will be at the convenience of his family.
