Inez Belle Birchfield

Inez B. Birchfield, 83, of Gallipolis Ferry, went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, OH. She was born March 9, 1933, a daughter of the late John Forest Hoffman and Mary Luella (Wooten) Hoffman. Inez retired from the Mason County Schools, where she worked for 25 years as a cook. She attended many churches in the area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. "Bill" Birchfield; sisters, Betty Cook and infant sister, Rosetta Mae Hoffman; and half brother, Darrell Huffman. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Micky) Neal of Point Pleasant; three sons, John (Shirley) Birchfield, Tom (Karen) Birchfield and Randy (Paula) Birchfield all of Gallipolis Ferry; two granddaughters, Dr. Aubrey Devin (Corey) Lane and Sahana (Brad) Willford; a grandson, Brandon (Nikki) Roush; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Frances (Roger) Casto of Point Pleasant; and one brother, William Franklin (Anna Mae) Hoffman of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
