Ileta Sylvia (Bowman) Tyler, 91, of Point Pleasant passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, Thursday, March 11, 2010 after a long illness. She was born January 8, 1919 in Hillsboro, WV, a daughter of the late Cleveland H. Bowman and Larma (Sutphin) Bowman. Ileta was a homemaker, and had a passion for quilting. She was a member of the Faith Gospel Church of Gallipolis Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Tyler; a daughter, Wilma Louise Tyler; one son-in-law, Edwin Nolind; and a granddaughter-in-law, Leslie Nolind. Surviving are her daughter, Janice Nolind of Doraville, GA; grandchildren, Debra (Barry) Treadwell of Lawrenceville, GA, Mary (Bruce) Reavis of Duluth, GA, and Tony Nolind of Ellenwood, GA; four great grandchildren, Alisa (Matt) Pognant of Lawrenceville, GA, Meredith Treadwell of Lawrenceville, GA, Scarlett Reavis and Savannah Reavis of Duluth, GA; one brother, Odell (Eleanor) Bowman of Oceanside, CA; a sister-in-law, Opal Tyler of Charleston, WV; dear caregivers, Freda and James Lucas, Jr. of Point Pleasant; several nieces, nephews, and many neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 13 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hammack and Pastor Sanders Rulen officiating.
