Howard Allen Patterson

Howard Allen Patterson, 50, of Henderson, WV died Monday December 1, 2008 at home. Howard was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1977, and was a retired diesel mechanic. He was born November 29, 1958 in Henderson to the late William H. Patterson and Virginia Ann (Mayes) Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Patterson, Billy Patterson, and Thomas "Tucker" Mayes; and nephew, Joey Patterson. Surviving are his daughter, Ashley Patterson of Huntington, WV; two sons, Luke Allen Patterson of Huntington Beach, California, and Ryan Eric Johnson of Clovis, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Bailey and Hunter Johnson of Huntington who were the light of his life. He is also survived by four sisters, Pasty (John) McDermitt of Point Pleasant, Molly Jo (Boyd) Coleman of Fraziers Bottom, WV, Bonnie (Art) McCoy of Henderson, and Sissy (Sonny) Hammond of Henderson; three brothers, Ronnie (Mary) Mayes of Point Pleasant, Lawrence Patterson of Gallipolis Ferry, and Rex Patterson of Henderson; his companion, Debbie Wallace and little special buddy, Lannie Wallace; special cousin, Donald Wyant of Point Pleasant; best friend, Larry Carper of Point Pleasant; special sister-in-law, Missy Patterson of Red House; special niece, Heather Hatfield of Barboursville; special nephew, Dewey Coleman; and several other nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Concord Cemetery in Henderson with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
