Howard Franklin Crump, 78, of Glenwood, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at his home. He was born January 9, 1933, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Isaiah Crump Sr. and Bessie Mae (Pearson) Crump. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Timothy Crump, Robert V. Crump and Charles T. Crump; two sisters, Margaret O. Crump and Frances L. Hosmer. Howard was retired from the United States Army with twenty years of service and was a cook by trade. Howard is survived by a special friend, Frances Stone of Glenwood; two sons of Germany; four brothers, Isaiah Crump Jr. and Randall A. Crump of Point Pleasant, David J. Crump of St. Petersburg, FL, and James A. Crump of Pomeroy, OH; nine sisters, Ruth A. Hand and Martha V. Crump of Point Pleasant, Rebecca Kennedy of Gallipolis, OH, Dollie Watson of Jacksonville, FL, Deborah G. Parthemer of Venice, FL, Annabel Fritts of Arizona, Regina Joan Cox of Waverly, OH, Mary V. Saunders of Gallipolis, OH and Norma Smith of Athens, OH. As per Howard's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Henderson Cemetery with military graveside rites given by the West Virginia Honor Guard and the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.
