Hilda Christine Mccausland

Hilda Christine McCausland, 79, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. Hilda was a homemaker, and former employee of Medi Home Care of Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born December 25, 1928 in Cheshire, Ohio to the late Roy I. and Iva Gertrude (Killingsworth) Simpkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emmett McCausland; a son, Terry McCausland; four sisters, Edna Austin, Thelma Carr, Mamie Simpkins, and Velma Simpkins; and a brother, Leroy Simpkins. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie (Jack) and Debbie Simpkins of Point Pleasant, and Robert Emmett McCausland and Sheila Springer of Gallipolis, Ohio; three daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Wadgy Refai of Houston, TX, Susan Ellen Beachy of Point Pleasant, and Christina Lynn Mahoney of Jacksonville, FL; five sisters, Opal (James) Hughes and Minnie Honaker of Mason, Helen Bonecutter of Wellston, OH, Tressa Mae Turner and Clara Sayre of Point Pleasant; and a brother, Wesley Simpkins of Point Pleasant. Grandchildren are, Melissa (Bart) Rapp of Bidwell, OH, James (JP) Patrick (Kaitlyn) Simpkins of Gallipolis, OH, Kimberly Springer, of Bidwell, OH, Christopher Layne of Houston, TX, Christa Furlong and Jason Mahoney of Mentor, OH, Seth and Caroline Beachy of Lancaster, OH, Aspen James of Uniontown, PA and great grandchildren; Sierra Nicole Somerville and Kaleb Daniel Rapp of Bidwell, OH, Dedric Silva of Charleston, WV, Hunter Ray Furlong, Victoria Mahoney of Mentor, OH, Brando James and Ferrell James of Uniontown, PA. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Watts of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
