Herbert D. "Tucker" Williamson, 86, of Winfield, WV died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division in Charleston. He was born April 12, 1924, in Southside, WV, a son of the late Everett Earnest Williamson and Lilly Hazel (Wears) Williamson. Tucker was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and was retired as lockmaster at the Winfield Locks and Dam with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntington, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Williamson. Surviving are his wife, Aileen B. (Glenn) Williamson of Winfield, two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Sue and Dennis Lee Sansom of Winfield, and Gayla Ann and Robert Dwight Terry of Winfield; one sister, Helen Fisher of Southside, WV; three grandchildren, Trevor Ryan (Kate) Sansom of Hamden, Connecticut, Denae (Kevin) Farmer of Matoaka, WV, and Allison Nicole Terry and (fiance Josh Waugh) of Chesapeake, OH; and two great grandchildren, Devin Lee Farmer and Riley Sansom. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Winfield United Methodist Church in Winfield, WV with Rev. Jim Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Hill Cemetery at Southside, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
