Henry Harold Plantz

Henry Harold Plantz, 88, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at home. He was born October 2, 1932, a son of the late Henry H. Plantz and Annie S. (Denny) Plantz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Stella M. Plantz; brothers, Arthur, Ivan and Paul Plantz; and sisters, Geneva S. Stanley and Geraldine Bowen. Harold was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Point Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Plantz; children, Terry (James) Barclay of Oak Ridge, TN, Howard (Kelly) Plantz of Apple Grove, Timothy (Janis) Plantz of Gallipolis Ferry and Amey (David) Carr of Gallipolis Ferry; nine grandchildren, Justin, Eric, Jenni, Jessi, Madison, Estella, Alisha, Devin and Ruthie; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Mayes officiating.Burial will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
