Helen Virginia Williamson

Helen Virginia Williamson, 93, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her home. She was born June 27, 1924, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Marcus Sidney Poffenbarger and Eunice Belle (Dabney) Poffenbarger. Helen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1942 and retired from the Malleable Iron Company as office manager. She was also a member of Point Pleasant Chapter 75 Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary of Point Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George "Duke" Williamson; and sister, Jean Duncan. She is survived by her "kids", Sandi (Tom) Fisher of Gallipolis Ferry, Johnny (Lea) Kinnaird of Gallipolis Ferry and Kristi (Paul) Cooley of Barboursville. A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jim Kelly officiating.
