Hazel Marie Bush

Hazel Marie Bush, 77, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her home. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church and Pleasant View Church of Gallipolis Ferry. She was a homemaker, had worked for Siders Jewelers and was retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy. Hazel was born October 13, 1931 in Southside, WV to the late Charlie Clifton Siders and Alice (Eckard) Siders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Caryl C. Canterbury Jr.; and her second husband, Rev. James Odell Bush; two brothers, Harry Siders and infant brother Donald Siders; a sister, Carolyn Province; and a step-grandchild. Surviving are three daughters, Joan (Gary) Kinnaird of Henderson, Sue Ann Blain of Gallipolis Ferry, and Charlene Weethee of Gallipolis Ferry; three sons, Caryl Thomas (Freda) Canterbury, Richard Allen Canterbury, and Roy (Terri) Canterbury all of Gallipolis Ferry; three stepchildren, Tim (Donna) Bush of Gallipolis Ferry, Violet (Bob) Henry of Gallipolis Ferry, and Wanda (Roy) Henry of Point Pleasant; a sister, Wanda (Bob) Riser of Parkersburg; a sister-in-law, Blanche Siders of Gallipolis Ferry; three brothers, Carl (Jeanie) Siders of Anderson, SC, Charles (Alice) Siders of Marietta, OH, and Danny (Christina) Siders of Lexington, KY; 21 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren, and five step- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow in Canterbury Family Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.
