Harvey Henry Price

Harvey Price, 76, of Apple Grove, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 27, 1944, in Hogsett, WV, a son of the late John and Cora F. (Persinger) Price. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Watson, Betty Simpkins and Sharon Price; and brothers, Charles "Leo", Worthy "Gene", John "Willie", Kenny, and Doug Price. Harvey was a member of the Addison Freewill Baptist Church in Addison, OH.He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1963, served his country in the United States Army and was a retired business owner of Price Brothers Garage in Point Pleasant. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gail June (Allen) Price of Apple Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey Kevin and Tiffany Price of Gallipolis, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Steve Hornsby of Thurman, OH; grandchildren, Levi (Megan) Hornsby of Patriot, OH, Mackenzie (Jacob) Bing of Bidwell, OH, Makayla Price of Gallipolis, Abbie Price of Gallipolis and Zander Price of Gallipolis.He is also survived by a brother, Marlie (Phyllis) Price of Apple Grove; one sister, Mary "Sis" (Jim) Edmonds of Apple Grove; and special friends, Steve and Linda Critchfield. A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Addison-Reynolds Cemetery in Addison, OH, with Pastor Rick Barcus officiating.Military graveside honors will be given by the West Virginia Army Honor Guard. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Harvey to the Addison Freewill Baptist Church, 210 Addison Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631.
