Harvey David Blain

Harvey David Blain, 80, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant.He was born November 15, 1937, in Henderson, WV, a son of the late Otho "Brownie" Blain and Ruth (Melton) Blain.Harvey was an active member of LifeSpring Community Church in Point Pleasant. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1955, proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired from M & G Polymers. Harvey was the epitome of a family man. He enjoyed coaching his sons in Little League Baseball and loved watching and supporting his children and grandchildren in any of their activities. In his spare time he loved playing golf. Harvey was an inspiration to others.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betsy (Wedge) Blain; children, Missie and Mark Hussell, Rich and Rodna Blain and Jeremy and Barbara Blain; grandchildren, Sarah Hussell, Jacob Hussell, Luke Blain, Derrick Blain, Trey Blain and Jenna Blain; sisters, Ruth Ellen Sommer and Nancy Blevins; and brothers, Richard Blain and Reed Blain.A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Chad Foreman officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
