Hannah E. Hay, 89, of Point Pleasant died Friday, August 1, at the Hospice of Huntington in Huntington, WV. She was born July 13, 1919 in North Huntingdon, PA to the late Josiah and Mary E. (Billingslee) Gongaware. Hannah was a homemaker and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hay; infant granddaughter, Lori L. Laskey; son-in-law, George Laskey; sister, Anna M. Nichols; and three brothers, Robert F., John Arnold, and Josiah Watson Gongaware. Surviving are her son, Roy (Pam) Hay of Point Pleasant; daughter, Mary Ann Laskey of North Huntingdon; sister, Mary G. Byers of Greenville, PA; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Amanda Laskey of North Huntingdon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home in North Huntingdon with Dr. Stephen Dillman officiating. Burial will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 1-3 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, and Monday, August 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home in Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund, 2500 Mt. Vernon Ave., Point Pleasant, WV. Online condolences may be made at www.wilcoxenfuneralhome.com.
