Hale Charles Stewart

Hale Charles Stewart, 87, of Point Pleasant died Monday, April 30, 2007 at home. Hale was a construction worker, a U.S. Army veteran, and attended the Heights United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant. He was born January 7, 1920 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles B. and Mona (Myers) Stewart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Rainey; and a son-in-law, Butch Gardner. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Ruth J. (Williams) Stewart of Point Pleasant; daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Gardner Lee (Jack) of Point Pleasant, and Diana Hudson of Point Pleasant, grandchildren, Stephen Gardner and Leigh Ann Gardner of Point Pleasant; great grandson, Jacob Tyler Gardner of Point Pleasant; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marilene Stewart of Sevierville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A private family service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2007 with Rev. Charles Frum officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heights United Methodist Church, 2016 North Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
