Goldie Louella Willet

Goldie Louella Willet, 75, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was born May 10, 1946, in Gibbstown, WV, a daughter of the late William Blake and Virgie (Boggs) Blake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Acie Willet Sr.; sons, Richard Lee Willet and Herbert William Willet; daughter, Karen Willet; grandson, Dakota Willet; granddaughters, Amanda and Jessica Willet; brothers, Odell Blake, Pearl Blake, Delbert Blake and Roy Blake; sister, Jewell Blake; and a son-in-law, Rodger Lee McCoy. Goldie was a member of the Father's House Church in Hartford, WV and a former paper carrier for the Charleston Gazette and Point Pleasant Register. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann McCoy of Mason; son, Edward A. (Donna) Willet of Gallipolis, OH; one sister, Sylvia Sayre of New Haven, WV; brother, Bill (Peggy) Blake of Friendship, WI; four grandchildren, Angela (Shawn) Hadley, Betsy (Brandon) Flannery, Micaela Willet and Jamie Willet; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service and burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating.Goldie will be laid to rest with her two sons cremains.
