Goldie Frances Denney

Goldie Frances Denney, 74, of Southside, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, OH. She was born August 16, 1940, in Ashton, WV, a daughter of the late John Carl Wray and Clara Frances (Hughes) Wray. Goldie was a member of Hambrick Church in Southside and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Worthy Denney; two brothers, Carl Dale Wray and Raymond Wray; one brother-in-law, Bill Coble. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Denney of Southside and Debbie Duncan (Jim) of Southside; one granddaughter, Michelle Denney of Southside; four sisters, Pauline Dunn (Norman) of Thurston, OH, Evelyn Coble of Thornville, OH, Deloris Hutton (Lester) of Marion, VA and Sandy Griffith (Bobby) of Apple Grove; two brothers, Charles Wray and Melvin Wray of Apple Grove; several nieces and nephews; and special dog Millie. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jerry Colburn officiating.
