Gloria Jean Endicott, 90, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center, in Gallipolis, OH. She was born on October 26, 1929 in Silash, WV, to the late Shelby and Sybil (McClure) Legg. Gloria loved her home and family. As she journeyed through the last two months, her constant desire was to return to her earthly home. However, God had a better plan. It was time for her to go to her heavenly home. Throughout her life, she loved attending church, especially gospel sings, until she was no longer physically able to attend. Gloria was an excellent cook and loved to share meals with family and friends. At Christmas, her fudge was enjoyed by many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Virgil Paul Endicott; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Faye (Murell) Bowling; brother, Bobby Joe Legg; and brother-in-law, Russell Endicott. She is survived by a son, Johnny Endicott of Point Pleasant; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita (Mitch) Mace of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Todd Endicott of Point Pleasant, Michelle (Brad) Endicott of Charleston, and Nicholas Mace of Charleston; three great grandchildren, Jonathan Endicott, L.J. Endicott, and Myranda (Jason) Stouffer; four great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Jr. (Vivian) Endicott; sisters-in-law, Daisy (David) Reid, Mavis Endicott, and Vonna Legg; and special friends, Donna and Brent Pauley, and Juanita Matheny. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the caregivers throughout Gloria's illness, especially Holzer 4th and 5th floors and Holzer Hospice. A public graveside service and burial will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy can be made to the hospice organization in your area.
