Glen Erwin Ward

Glen Erwin Ward, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born December 27, 1935, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of the late Donald E. Ward and Fern M. (Cordts) Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Ward. Glen was a disabled Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War, was a life member of the DAV and retired as an ironworker. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. (Flora) Ward of Point Pleasant; children, Larry (Rosita) Newman of Navarre, FL, Roberta Chandler of Point Pleasant, Angela Newman of Phenix City, AL, Glenda Hann of Acworth, GA and Wayne (Sheri) Ward of Point Pleasant; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV, with Rev. Bert Flora officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
