Gerald Lee Bright

Gerald "Bub" Lee Bright, 62, of Southside entered into his heavenly home Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Hospital following a short illness. He was a past employee of Lannes Williamson Pallets and retired from the Kanawha Valley Drag Way Park in Southside. He attended Hambrick Church in Southside. Gerald was born July 7, 1945 in Putnam County to the late and beloved William Phillip Bright and Mary L. (Gillispie) Bright Runion. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three infant sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda (Litchfield) Bright; six children Phillip Bright (Robin) of Southside, Charles Bright (Serena) of Henderson, Peggy Plants (Mark) of Apple Grove, Christopher Bright (Wilma) of Gallipolis Ferry, Bridget Ball (David) of Apple Grove and Cody Bright of Southside; ten grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Chanda, Jarred, Kendra, Allen, Auston, Andrew, Chelsea, Gabbie, Tommy, and Tyler; two sisters, Patty Woyan of Point Pleasant and Jean Wooten of Letart and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, October 28, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Fred McCallister officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery at Southside.
