George Allen Vaughan

George Allen Vaughan, 84, of Southside, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant.

He was born August 9, 1939, in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Thomas Chilton Vaughan and Edith Imogene (Sansom) Vaughan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (Glover) Vaughan; sister, Marlene Wiseman; and a brother, Thomas Vaughan.

George was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum as a production operator.

He is survived by children, Dean Vaughan and wife Anita of Charlotte, NC, Stu Osborne and wife Sally of Freeport, FL, Tonya Sue Blain of Charles Town, WV and Jeri Osborne of Niceville, FL; sister, Connie Hoobler of West Valley UT; brother, Wendell Vaughan of DeFuniak Springs, FL; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.  Burial will be private at the Vaughan-Mills Cemetery in Genoa, Wayne County, WV.
