George W. Schwartz

George William Schwartz, 68, of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was a mechanic and farmer, and member of Berean Baptist Church in Point Pleasant. George was born June 5, 1940 in Point Pleasant to the late Lewis R. Schwartz and Mary Etta (Wilcoxen) Schwartz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Plants; and a sister, Mae Pullins. Surviving is his wife, Kristeen A. (Jeffers) Schwartz of Point Pleasant; children, Georgetta Wallace, Pauline Jeffers, David and Stacy Schwartz, Carolyn and Kevin Hudnall, Howard and Kathy Schwartz, Betty S. and Mike Hively, and Mary and James Hodge all of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Pearl Pullins of Lorain, Ohio and Diane (John) McGuire of Point Pleasant; one brother, Lewis, Jr. (Donna) Schwartz of Leon, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Willard Eldridge of Point Pleasant; special friends, Kevin Casto and Stephanie Jackson both of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Jimmy and Heather Plants, Jason Wallace, Joey Plants, Amanda Plants, Cathy Schwartz, Andrew Hudnall, Tiffany Hudnall, Travis Jeffers, Michael Jeffers, Shawn Jeffers, Britney Jeffers, Cody Schwartz, Derek Schwartz, Brianne Buffington, Austin Hodge, Haileigh Hodge, and Amber Maynard; great grandchildren, Deverick Burris, Dominic Burris, Gauge Burris, Garrett Burris, Natasha Plants, Taylor Plants, Cheyanne Knapp, and James Knapp II. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Wilmer "Bud" Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Eckard Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
