Genevieve Starcher, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio and Maryville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born March 18, 1933 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Jessie Bennett Walker and Minnie Marie Pearson Walker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandparents, Bearmen and Lilly Pearson and Jessie and Rebecca Walker; brothers and sisters, Little Jackie Walker, Carren Sue, and Estelle Burdell. Genevieve was a homemaker, and member of the Mount Olive Church in Bidwell, Ohio. Surviving is her husband, Archie A. Starcher, Sr. of Gallipolis, Ohio and Maryville, TN; children, Linda (Jimmy) Sims of Gallipolis, Ohio; Juanita (Darres) Craig of Maryville, TN; and Archie Jr. (Penny) Starcher of Seymour, TN, brothers and sisters, Lavina (Nick) Meaige, of Gallipolis, Ohio, Garland (Linda) Walker of Point Pleasant, Anna Jean (Charles) Thompson of Point Pleasant, Donnie (Carol) Walker of Henderson, Odis Walker of Gallipolis Ferry, and Chuckie (Beulah) Walker of Point Pleasant. Additional survivors are grandchildren, Shelly (Jeremiah) Harkins, Andy (Angie) Sims, Chad Starcher, Chandra (Justin) Hearon, and Ryan Craig, great grandchildren, Christopher Copley, Zachary Harkins, Quentin Sims, Drew Sims, Skyla Stanton, Zoe Sims, Grace Sims, Hannah Hearon, and Braden Hearon; and grand dogs, Susie Q. and Casey. Services will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Ministers Jimmy Sims and Juanita Roush officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery in Gallipolis, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
