Garnett Ailene Fisher

Garnett Ailene (Newell) Fisher, 77, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her home. She was born December 11, 1933 in Beech Hill, WV, a daughter of the late Fredrick Littleton Newell and Reba Juanita (Williams) Newell. Garnett was a housekeeper and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fisher Sr.; one sister, Helen Ashley; and two brothers, Lonnie Newell and Paul Fredrick Newell in infancy. Garnett is survived by her children, Judy Hill of Point Pleasant, Margaret (Dale) Bates of Point Pleasant, Juanita (Ronnie) Jeffers of Huntington, WV, Virgil (Sandra) Willet of Bidwell, OH, and Dreama (David) Warth of West Columbia, WV; one sister, Elizabeth Smith of Henderson, WV; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Bubba) Lane of Leon, WV, Ronnie (Aleasha) Jeffers of Huntington, Miranda (Shane) Christian of Chesapeake, OH, Andrea Warth of Point Pleasant, Stephanie (Joe) McClendon of Huntington, Wesley Hazlett of Point Pleasant, Cliff Warth of West Columbia, WV, Betty (Matthew) Palmer of Bidwell, OH, and Rachel Willet of Bidwell; nine great grandchildren; two expectant great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor James Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Henderson, WV.
