Freda Lucinda "Cindy" Meaige

Freda Lucinda "Cindy" Meaige, 61, of Leon, WV, went home to be with her Lord Friday, September 4, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Hospital with her family and friends by her side. She was born July 4, 1954, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Charles Pete Harmon and Mary Frances (Hoffman) Harmon Casto of Leon. Cindy was a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church and church choir. One of her greatest blessings at church was the passion she had for Vacation Bible School, which she was involved in for many years. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1972 and was a retired cook from the Mason County Board of Education. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Nichols B. "Nick" Meaige Jr. of Leon; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Renee and Tracy Ball of Letart; three grandchildren, BreAnna, Nickolas William and Kennedi Faith Ball of Letart; mother and step-father, Mary Frances and Roger Casto of Leon; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Jack Edwards of Gallipolis Ferry; one brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Vickie Harmon of Henderson; and several special nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2015 at New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Charles Moses and Pastor Steven Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at New Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 10-1p.m., Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be made to New Hope Bible Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School Fund, 3 Robinson Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
