Franziska Thomas

Franziska Thomas, 87, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant.She was born October 25, 1930, in Germany, a daughter of the late Johann and Maria (Krulis) Griesser. Franziska was a member of Zion Baptist Church of Gallipolis Ferry and a retired nursing assistant with 21 yrs. service from Holzer Medical Center.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thomas.Franziska is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Erika M. and Roger Bing of Wayne, WV; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. and Cheryl Thomas of Point Pleasant; a granddaughter, Alicia Thomas of Columbus, OH; two step-grandchildren, Roger Bing II and spouse of Point Pleasant and Brittany Levins and spouse of Huntsville, AL; and five step-great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Minister Cathy Searls officiating.
