Franklin Eugene Cobb

Franklin Eugene Cobb, 68, of Glenwood, WV, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Veterans Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born March 5, 1942 in Glenwood, a son of the late Joseph Eugene Cobb and Phyllis Marie (Meadows) Cobb. Franklin was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Guyandotte V.F.W. Post No. 9738, and a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, a niece, Lisa Carol Tolliver; and a nephew, William (Billy) Cobb. Surviving are two brothers, Charles E. (Sue) Cobb of Ona, WV, and Danny Lee (Penny) Cobb of Glenwood; one sister, Carolyn Sue Tolliver of Ashton; a uncle, Carlos Cobb of Glenwood; one niece, Dee Dee Ashley ; and four nephews, Chris Cobb, Scottie Cobb, Charles Tolliver, and Craig Tolliver; and a special great niece, Bailey Tolliver. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Charlie Langdon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pete Meadows Cemetery in Ashton, with military graveside rites by the WV Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant.
