Franklin Boles, 88, of Leon, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. He was born March 14, 1932, in Leon, WV, a son of the late Lewis Pearl Boles and Louisa (Schultz) Boles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances (Prunty) Boles; three sisters; and three brothers. Franklin was a member of Leon Baptist Church and retired from the Mason County Board of Education with 32 years of service. He is survived by a son , Gary Lee Boles of Leon; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Ann (Ralph) Kelvington of Letart; two grandchildren, Rachel Reynolds of Point Pleasant, and Brian (Betsy) Kelvington of Letart; and three great-grandchildren, Kathryn Reynolds, Audrey Reynolds, and Ellie Kelvington. A funeral service will be at 12 noon, Friday, September 25, 2020, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Brian Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Leon Cemetery in Leon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
